Scope

This standard specifies the method for calculating the sound power level by measuring the sound pressure level on a hypothetical measuring surface enveloping the head of a household sewing machine in an acoustic test environment that is a free field above a reflecting plane. This standard applies to the test of the sound power level of the head noise of household sewing machines.
