- This standard specifies the safety technical requirements and test methods for electronic weighing instruments. This standard is applicable to electronic weighing instruments that are structurally grounded to ensure protection against electric shock (hereinafter referred to as electronic weighing instruments), and is also applicable to Class III electronic weighing instruments. This standard also applies to electronic weighing instruments used under severe environmental conditions (explosion protection).
