Scope: This standard specifies the classification of isotope instruments installed on equipment, shielding devices, requirements for instrument process structure and performance for the purpose of radiation protection, its control methods and test methods, codes and signs. This standard applies to isotope meters installed on equipment (hereinafter referred to as isotope meters or meters). This standard does not apply to the following isotope instruments, which do not need to comply with the general regulations on the supply and use of artificial radionuclides due to their ingenious design and the characteristics of the radioactive source used and their low activity. This standard also does not apply to ionizers (such as smoke detectors, static eliminators, etc.).
