Scope

This standard specifies the test methods, samples, test conditions and devices, test procedures, test results and test reports for outdoor exposure of ferrous metals to the atmosphere. This standard is applicable to the corrosion test of ferrous metals and their alloys in the natural atmosphere to evaluate their corrosion resistance. This standard does not apply to outdoor dynamic corrosion tests.
