Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and its sodium salt (EDTA) (chelating agent) in soaps and detergents. This standard applies to the analysis of EDTA content in solid (block or powder), liquid, cream soap and detergent containing EDTA (chelating agent).
