Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the lifting capacity of hydraulic excavators. This standard applies to all kinds of hydraulic excavators of crawler type and tire type, with or without outriggers (or other stabilizing devices) that can be used for lifting operations. This standard does not apply to truss-type jibs and the use of wire ropes for lifting operations.
