Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the reaction heat and reaction temperature of phenolic resins by differential scanning calorimetry. This method is suitable for phenolic resins with exothermic behavior, such as resoles, or mixtures of novolacs with hexamethylenetetramine or other curing agents. This method is used to characterize a product or research.
