This standard specifies the design basis, design criteria, design content, design process and design method for ship diesel-electric hybrid power modules. This standard applies to the design of ship diesel-electric hybrid modules composed of diesel engines and shaft motors. Other types of diesel-electric hybrid power modules include hybrid power modules composed of a diesel engine and a shaft-type motor, and hybrid power modules with non-coaxial output of a diesel engine and a propulsion motor (see Appendix A). The design can refer to this standard.
