- Scope
- This standard specifies the length distribution parameters of wool fibers and short chemical fibers (or cotton, hemp) by capacitance method, and mainly analyzes the average length and length variation coefficient. This standard is applicable to the measurement of wool fibers and chemical staple fibers (also applicable to cotton and hemp) and their semi-finished products, such as slivers and rovings. It is not suitable for measuring the length of fibers with an average length of 15mm or less, and fibers with high crimp and high elasticity. Some instruments that do not need to modify the program are not suitable for measuring short chemical fibers with basically equal lengths (such as cut chemical fibers, etc.).
