- This standard specifies the basic principles and calculation methods that should be followed in the design and calculation of tower cranes. Other calculation methods that have been proved to be correct and reliable by theory and practice can also be used. This standard applies to all types of electric drive tower cranes for various purposes. This standard does not apply to tower cranes modified from truck-mounted, tire-mounted and crawler cranes.
