GB/T 9089.3-1991 Electrical installations for outdoor sites under heavy conditions--General requirements for equipment and ancillaries (English Version)
This standard specifies the general requirements for electrical equipment and accessories in outdoor locations under harsh conditions. This standard is applicable to the design, installation and operation of electrical equipment and systems under severe outdoor conditions (including open-pit mines, quarries, stockyards and similar places), especially for the following electrical equipment and systems: a. Extraction and primary processing machinery; b. Secondary processing machinery; c. Conveying system; d. Drainage and water supply system; e. Movable railway system; f. Fixed railway system (only refers to operation); g. Power generation and distribution equipment; i. Control, monitoring, signal, communication systems; j. Auxiliary equipment. Note: The working conditions of electrical devices under harsh outdoor conditions are special. They work in open places and are responsible for heavy-duty transportation and stacking tasks. The electrical devices used in this situation have the following characteristics: a. Change of location; b. Large and continuous extension of the work site; c. The influence of special environment (see Chapter 3).
