Scope

(a) The Contracting Officer shall insert the clause in 1552.216–72, Ordering—By Designated Ordering Officers, or a clause substantially similar to the subjectclause, in indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type solicitations and contracts. The Contracting Officer shall insert Alternate I when formal input from the Contractor will not be obtained prior to order issuance.
