- This standard specifies the dimensional data that should be marked on the drawings of cylindrical worms and worm gears, and recommends the data that should be marked on worm gears, see Appendix A (reference). This standard is applicable to the drawing of cylindrical worms, worm gears and transmissions with shaft angle surface = 90°, or as the basis for the necessary technical parameters that their users must provide to the manufacturer. In special cases, other necessary relevant data should be supplemented.
