Scope

This standard specifies the static test method for determining the mechanical joint strength of conveyor belts. This standard is applicable to the determination of the mechanical joint strength of fabric core conveyor belts by static test method. According to the different structures of the joints used, there are two types of joints: detachable and non-detachable. This standard does not apply to vulcanized joints.
