- Scope
- This standard specifies the counting sampling inspection plan and procedures for electrodeposited metal coatings. This standard applies to the inspection of final products, parts and inventory (but not limited to these scopes). It is mainly used for the inspection of continuous batches, and can also be used for the inspection of isolated batches. However, the guarantees provided for isolated batches are lower than those provided for consecutive batches. This standard also applies to inspections related to fine finishing upon agreement between the supplier and the purchaser. This standard does not apply to the sampling and testing of fasteners having electrodeposited metal coatings and related finishes. The sampling plan given in this standard is based on acceptable quality levels of 1.5% and 4.0%.
