Scope

This standard specifies the bibliographic items, bibliographic order, symbols used for bibliographical references, description methods of each bibliographical item, and reference labeling method of post-text references in various types of publications. This standard is intended for use by authors and editors when compiling bibliographies, and not as a bibliographic description rule for librarians, bibliographers, and index editors.
