Scope

This standard specifies the basic environmental test items, conditions, methods and inspection rules for exterior lighting and signaling devices of vehicles and trailers. This standard applies to various types of lighting and signaling devices (hereinafter referred to as automobile lamps or lamps) used on the exterior of automobiles and trailers except for reflectors.
