This International Standard recommends dimensions and specifies requirements and tests for laboratory equipment made of borosilicate glass 3.3 that has a vacuum jacket for thermal insulation. It applies to Dewar vessels, reaction vessels with a vacuum jacket and columns with a vacuum jacket, provided that these are intended for laboratory applications and laboratory-related applications. Typical dimensions are given in Table 1 to Table 5. This standard does not apply to large-scale production facilities and to devices operating at a pressure of more than 0.1 bar above atmospheric pressure.
