Scope

As used in this part: (a) Act means the Seaman's Protection Act (SPA), 46 U.S.C. 2114, as amended. (b) Assistant Secretary means the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health or the person or persons to whom he or she delegates authority under the Act.
