Scope

This standard applies to bolts, screws, studs and nuts of any shape and thread diameter from 1.6 to 39 mm, made of austenitic, martensitic and ferritic corrosion-resistant stainless steel. Its thread size and tolerance are in accordance with GB 193-1981, GB 196-1981 and GB 197-1981. In addition, the width across sides of the nut should not be less than 1.45D and the effective length of the thread ≥ 0.6D. This standard does not specify corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance in special environments, and the specified grades are only applicable to corrosion-resistant stainless steel fasteners. Corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance under high temperature and low temperature conditions should be agreed between the supplier and the purchaser.
