Scope

This standard specifies the test method for measuring the glass transition temperature of plastics by thermomechanical analysis. This standard applies to amorphous thermoplastics and also to partially crystalline thermoplastics, but not to highly filled amorphous thermoplastic systems. The results measured by the test methods specified in this standard cannot be compared with the results measured by other methods.
