- This standard applies to the determination of Vickers and Knoop microhardness of electrodeposited layers, autocatalytic coatings, and sprayed coatings in metal coatings, and also applies to the determination of Vickers and Knoop microhardness of anodized films on aluminum. Determination The test force is lower than 10N. To obtain satisfactory results, the covering layer must have sufficient thickness, and it is generally advisable to measure it on a cross-section.
