This standard stipulates the general procedures to be followed in the determination of the dynamic viscosity of coatings at a shear rate of 5000-20000s-1. When comparing the viscosity of various coatings, the shear rates should be about the same. Unless otherwise specified, the determination should be strictly controlled at a temperature of 23±0.2C. This standard applies to all brush-applied coatings, whether Newtonian or not.
