Scope
This standard specifies the method principle, test equipment, samples, test methods, test results and test reports for the determination of particle or fiber volume content in particle-reinforced and unidirectional continuous fiber-reinforced metal matrix composites. This standard is applicable to the determination of particle or fiber volume content in particle-reinforced metal-matrix composites with a reinforcement particle size greater than 1 μm or unidirectional continuous fiber-reinforced metal matrix composites with a diameter greater than 1 μm.
