Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of the isomer ratio in toluene diisocyanate by infrared spectroscopy and gas chromatography. This standard applies to the determination of the ratio of the two isomers contained in the mixture of toluene-2,4-diisocyanate (2,4-TDI) and toluene-2,6-diisocyanate (2,6-TDI). In infrared spectroscopy, test method A is suitable for the determination of samples containing 5%~95% 2,6-TDI (95%~5% 2,4-TDI); test method B is suitable for the determination of samples containing 0%~5% 2, 6-TDI (100%~95% 2,4-TDI) sample.
