Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of antirust performance of mineral oil with inhibitors in the presence of water. This standard is suitable for evaluating the antirust ability of mineral oils with inhibitors, especially steam turbine oils, to iron parts when mixed with water. This standard also applies to other oils, such as hydraulic oils, circulating oils, and liquids heavier than water.
