Scope

This standard stipulates the following three methods for determining the amount of formaldehyde released in mineral wool and its products: --dryer method; --gas analysis method; --1 cubic meter climate chamber method. This standard applies to the determination of formaldehyde emission from rock wool, glass wool, slag wool, aluminum silicate wool and other mineral wool and its products, and also applies to the determination of formaldehyde emission from mineral wool ceilings.
