Scope

This standard specifies the post-mission disposal requirements for GEO satellites, including post-mission de-orbit and passivation requirements, specific implementation, and documentation requirements. This standard is applicable to the implementation of post-mission disposal of GEO satellites (hereinafter referred to as satellites), and the post-mission disposal of other geosynchronous orbit (GSO) satellites can be implemented by reference.
