Scope

This part of GB/T 17186 specifies the calculation method for bolted circular pipe flange connections with gaskets. This section is applicable to the calculation of narrow-face pipe flanges where all the gaskets are located within the closed circle formed by the bolt holes, and the flange sealing surface outside this circle has no contact. This part is mainly applicable to the connection calculation of Class series pipe flanges. This section gives the basic requirements for the strength calculation and stiffness check of pipe flange connections.
