This standard specifies the chemical analysis methods for magnesium-aluminum series refractories. The items analyzed in this standard are as follows: a) Loss on ignition (LOI); b) Silicon dioxide (SiO2); c) Aluminum oxide (Al2O3); d) iron oxide (Fe2O3); e) titanium dioxide (TiO2); f) calcium oxide (CaO); g) magnesium oxide (MgO); h) oxide Potassium (K2O); i) Sodium oxide (Na2O); j) Manganese oxide (MnO); k) Phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5); l) free calcium oxide (F.CaO) in magnesia; m) zirconia (hafnium) [Zr(Hf)O2]; n) chromium trioxide (Cr2 O3). This standard applies to the determination range of analytical elements in magnesium-aluminum refractory materials, see Table 1.
