Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, transportation and storage of digital thermometers for smelting. This standard applies to digital instruments that use an immersion thermocouple to be immersed in molten metal to measure its temperature (hereinafter referred to as thermometer).
