This standard specifies the test specifications for the net power of engines for earth-moving machinery defined in ISO 6165. This standard provides a standard method for reporting net power values to end users of earth-moving machinery. This standard applies to: a) reciprocating internal combustion engines (ignition or compression ignition engines), but does not include free piston engines; b) rotary piston engines. These engines can be naturally aspirated or supercharged with a supercharger or turbocharger. Note: This standard is a supporting standard of GB/T 21405. The difference in principle between the two is that some of the auxiliary devices installed in the test are different from cooling equipment and compression ignition equipment (fans). The power of necessary equipment and auxiliary devices can be deducted from the rated power of the engine specified in GB/T21405 by test or calculation. Refer to Appendix A for the preferred calculation method of the calibrated net power of the engine obtained in accordance with this standard. The test and calculation methods are in compliance with the provisions of this standard.
