- This standard specifies general and detailed requirements for thermal damage of high-strength ferromagnetic steel parts Barkhausen. This standard is applicable to the detection of thermal damage to the base metal produced after grinding high-strength steel and grinding coatings/platings. It can also be used to detect thermal damage produced in service. This standard does not apply to the detection of thermal damage to high-strength steel parts with nickel plating.
