- This part of SN/T 4120 specifies the materials, performance requirements and testing methods for tableware (knives, forks, spoons, cutting sets, ladles, children's tableware and other kitchen utensils). This section specifies three minimum thicknesses of silver plating. This standard applies to stainless steel, silver-plated nickel silver or silver-plated stainless steel tableware. This standard does not include tableware made entirely of precious metals, aluminum, non-stainless steel and entirely made of nickel silver, as well as gold-plated or chrome-plated tableware.
