Scope

This International Standard specifies a method for determining the biaxial stress-strain curve of metal sheets with a thickness of less than 3 mm by pure stretch forming without significant influence of friction. Compared to the results of the tensile test, higher shape change values can be achieved. NOTE The term "biaxial stress-strain curve" used in the standard is used for convenience. In principle, the experiment determines the true biaxial stress versus the degree of deformation.
