Scope

1.1This specification establishes the requirements for materials,testing and performance for sash balances used in hung-type windows conforming to AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440,"Standard/Specification for Windows,Doors,and Skylights." 1.1.1 This specification does not apply to systems that use the weight of one sash to counter-balance the other sash.
