This standard specifies the requirements, test methods and inspection rules for marine machine base epoxy cast gaskets (hereinafter referred to as gaskets). This standard applies to the design and construction of epoxy cast gaskets for ship main engines and generator set bases. Epoxy cast gaskets for deck machinery, stern tubes, rudder bearing bushings and other equipment can also be implemented by reference.
