- This standard specifies the definition of in-situ measurement of response time of resis ance thermometers important to the safety of nuclear power plants, recommended test methods and corresponding test requirements. The measurement methods given in this standard are recommended only when specific tests or physical analysis indicate significant drift in the response time of a resis ance thermometer. This standard is applicable to resis ance thermometers, important safety instruments in nuclear power plants. Other nuclear reactor resis ance thermometers can be used as a reference.
