- This standard specifies the measurement method for the acoustic output power of medical ultrasonic diagnostic equipment, among which the radiation force balance method is the preferred method. When there are technical difficulties in using the radiation force balance method, or when the measurement accuracy can be ensured, the hydrophone method can also be used to derive the ultrasonic power. This standard is applicable to the measurement of sound output power of medical ultrasonic diagnostic equipment in the frequency range of 0.5 MHz ~ 25 MHz.
