Scope

This standard specifies a method of measuring in a test room the radiated sound generated by the flow of water passing inside a water supply device. The target devices include a single faucet, a pressure reducing device attached to a pipe, and a series valve such as a hot water device. It is a special device, and all of them are hereafter referred to as “water supply devices”. By using the prescribed method, it is possible to compare the results of measurements in different laboratories.
