This standard specifies the non-destructive test method for circumferential butt welds with an outer diameter of 100 mm to 2,000 mm and a thickness of 6 mm to 40 mm in pipes with a commercial pressure of 0.98 MPa or more that transport oil and gas using steel pipes. Also, it can be applied to liquefied gas regardless of pressure. However, the steel pipe should have a minimum tensile strength of 340 N/mm2 or more, 570 N/mm2 or less, or equivalent according to the Korean Industrial Standard, and the welded part should be made using an arc welding construction method confirmed by a welding construction test. It shall be welded. The acceptance criteria for test results are specified in Annex A.?
