Scope

This standard specifies a mold stress relief distortion test method for electrical products containing components made primarily of polymer materials. This test is intended to simulate the effects caused by the removal of mold stresses by conditioning the product or part at a temperature above its maximum normal operating temperature and observing the nature of the resulting changes.
