This standard includes requirements for the competence, consistent operation and impartiality of product, process and service certification bodies. Certification bodies operating under this standard are not required to provide certification of all types of products, processes and services. Certification of products, processes and services is a third-party conformity assessment activity (see definition 5.5 of KS Q ISO/IEC 17000:2007). Except where specified as “process” or “service” in separate provisions of this standard, The term “product” can be viewed as “process” or “service” (see Annex B).?
