Scope

This standard specifies a series of cones or conical tapers with ranges from 120° to less than 1°, or ratios from 1:0.289 to 1:500, for general use in mechanical engineering. This standard Applies only to normal conical surfaces and excludes prismatic components, tapered screws and bevel gears, etc.
