Scope: This standard specifies a method for measuring the compressibility of plastics under certain conditions. This standard specifies standard test specimens and determines the length of the test specimen to prevent buckling that affects test results. It also includes a range of test speeds. This test method is used to investigate the compressive behavior of test specimens and measure compressive strength, compressive modulus, and other aspects of the compressive stress/strain relationship under specified conditions.
