This standard specifies a method for measuring the oxidation induction time (isothermal OIT) and oxidation induction temperature (dynamic OIT) of polymeric materials using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). This standard is applicable to polyolefin resins (raw materials or finished products) in fully stable or blended form. It can also be applied to other plastics.
