Scope

1.1 This standard specifies a method for measuring the complex shear modulus (G*) and phase angle (δ), which are viscoelastic properties that occur when traffic loads are applied to paving asphalt. 1.2 To measure the viscoelastic properties of asphalt, asphalt before aging (raw asphalt), asphalt after rolling thin film heating test (short-term aging) and asphalt after accelerated aging test (long-term aging) should be used.?
