Scope

This standard covers the requirements for cockpits and recesses that may be termed “watertight” or “quick-draining” in small vessels with a hull length of 24 m or less. This standard does not set requirements for the size and shape of the cockpit or recess, nor does it specify when/where they should be used. Only consider draining by gravity and not by pumps or other methods.?
