This standard defines requirements for the driver's interaction with display devices in a vehicle to minimize the driver's distraction from the vehicle's display device while driving. Even if it is installed for passengers other than the driver or in the front seats, the driver can view it. Display devices that cannot be used are excluded. Here, automobiles include passenger cars, vans, trucks, special vehicles, etc. Two-wheeled vehicles are excluded, but two-wheeled vehicles are planned to be reviewed and included in a phased manner in the future.
