Scope

This standard specifies the environmental conditions for harmonizing and testing cigarette and tobacco product test pieces and samples. This standard is for the testing of cigarettes and tobacco products and raw materials that require prior harmonization as they are used in the manufacturing process of tobacco products. It can be applied. This does not apply to test methods or harmonized conditions specified in other international standards (see references).
